Dear Sir/Madam,

The Isendoorn Work Experience is a bilingual education programme during the fourth (or fifth) year of secondary
school in which all pupils are expected to do international community service.

They have to be involved in a real working situation, on a voluntary basis;  ‘all care, no responsibility’.
Our bilingual pupils are expected to do this in an English-speaking environment.

Our bilingual education programme has two aims. The first aim is to give students increased language skills and
the second aim is to provide platform for European and International Orientation. Internationalisation offers a
valuable contribution to both. Through contacts with foreign students and/or ‘local colleagues’, our students will not
only practise their language skills, but also increase their awareness of other cultures as well as their own culture.

In short, the main objectives of an international community service are:

–        to improve language skills (English).
–        to develop inter cultural awareness.
–        to participate actively in a working situation.
–        to increase awareness on the functioning of institutes/companies/schools.
–        improve social and personal skills.

We expect from our pupils that they will;

–        execute basis activities, assist the institute on a voluntary basis.
–        communicate with colleagues in English on various (inter cultural) topics.
–        interview employees and their supervisor.

Thank you, for being interested in our programme.
Hopefully, you are able to find a possibility in which our students can fulfil their traineeship.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch at any point.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. C. Van Vliet
