Dear parents,

As a part of the bilingual education program, Isendoorn has designed an ambitious task for her fourth grade students. We are very much aware of this. However, we believe in learning by experience, learning in a meaningful context, learning by doing.
This program is designed to help students looking further and sometimes giving up their comfort zone. It is designed to experience new possibilities, to find out who they are in different circumstances. It is not always easy, it could even be a challenge. But you never know what your capable of, unless you start doing it.
We, as teachers, know very well that the students may look bigger and wiser than they used to, but they are still kids. We are used, in our education work, to balance between responsibilities we would like them to have, and at the other side providing the help they may need in their process.
It won’t be possible to continue this program unless you, as a parent, keep supporting it. We need your help and trust. Now, with over 15 years of experience with this program, we still feel our responsibility and care.
We would like to invite you to give it a chance: let your child look for their own specific way to deal with their difficulties and be there in a supportive way. It is alright to answer questions, but please do not take over; this opportunity is there for the student to learn and to explore.

Thank you very much for your trust,
Kind regards,
