Ask parents / friends / family / neighbours, or anyone you might know, whether they can help you find an address for a placement in an English speaking country. There should be somebody within your family, friends, neighbours, etc., with such connections. When you finally find something that fits, you’re well on your way. In fact you are looking for two different things; (1) a place to stay overnight and (2) a company to do your placement. Actually, when your overnight stay is arranged, finding a placement address is far less difficult.
If you cannot find anybody with connections, keep trying. Be creative: there might be a classmate who has already found a good spot, maybe you can join him/her. Be sure to ask the experienced/older students whether it is possible to go to their former placement address? Have you checked the Internet? (Although that can have some disadvantages).
Okay, imagine you are still stuck and can’t find anything. Although we know that there must be other possibilities which you might not have even thought of, you may be feeling desperate at this stage. In that case; do not postpone your WXP but come to the WXP office hour. You can always brainstorm with the coordinator to find a placement. However, we don’t have a ready-made list of names and addresses which you can use. It is still very much your own task.
Good luck!
